Hello Sailors,
Melinda Henshaw of TIWAL Australia and NZ here! Lake Eyre, Coongie Lakes, Cooper Creek, ... We weren't planning to come this far. But after hearing about Lake Eyre in flood and with two sailboats on board, we couldn't resist an adventure! 'You have got to go!' said the locals. We rang the Lake Eyre Yacht Club - there is not enough water in Lake Eyre so we headed to Innamincka and Coopers Creek. A sailor in the outback? We wouldnt have dreamed of it if we didnt have the TIWALS in the car. So an unplanned adventure began. Is it a new idea - ecotourism with a sailboat? You can go where motorboats are prohibited (many National Parks and Lakes ban motor-boats) and the TIWAL fits in the car or on the roof racks, making this a care-free way to travel AND have your toys! We have become the Nautical Nomads! To camp, we have two Tiwals (which double as inflatable mattresses), a plastic sheet, blankets and winter clothes. You may be better-equipped, but Tiwal makes new things possible with minimal effort. It was awesome! As this drought breaks the Australian Outback will become one of the most spectacular places on earth to sail! The wildflowers, the birdlife, the isolation of the desert, the stars...amazing. We now have a demo boat for sale and we taking orders for new boats. Please get in touch with me on 0487 081 573 and we will make it happen! Happy sailing, Melinda
