After visiting Walgett, NSW, we heard about Lake Eyre in flood. We had two TIWALS on board and the thought of sailing in amongst the wildlife was too tempting, after all, we were halfway there!
We rang the Lake Eyre Yacht Club, but we heard that the lake wasn't in fact flooded all the way south. We decided to travel to Innamincke and Coopers Creek to sail. We heard Coongie Lakes would be a great place for sailing too (no motor boats allowed). We werent planning to go this far so the only equipment we had were two TIWALS (which doubled as mattresses!) a plastic sheet and some borrowed blankets! Video of our adventures is coming soon... TIWAL is now taking orders for September delivery!

Today we met with with local reporter, Deirdre, of Stanthorpe, to sail on Storm King Dam, Stanthorpe’s only water supply. This part of Australia is in drought and the water level is very low. The farmers are also getting very short of hay. I hope these regions get some rain in the next few weeks.
